David J. Marks hosts the television show "Wood Works," on the DIY (Do It Yourself) Network and features step-by-step instructions for building contemporary studio furniture that he designed specifically for the show. In the past few years, his focus shifted towards woodturning and sculpture. David also has a deep interest in patination. The patina finish has become a trademark of his work.

Craig Jackson of Easy Wood Tools, met David J. Marks for the first time in May 2008. After watching David for years on the DIY Network's Woodworks television program, he decided to give David a Ci1 Easy Rougher as a gift for all his hard work. Craig caught up with David again in June at the AAW Symposium and found out that the Ci1 Easy Rougher had quickly become David's favorite turning tool.

The idea was born to collaborate on a tool with David's signature endorsement. David prefers a 20" handle and with its strength and beauty, Bubinga was the obvious choice. They have decided to offer the Ci1 Easy Rougher and the Ci0 Easy Finisher on 20" Bubinga handles.
